This review explores the various approaches and strategies used in signature forgery, including their success rates and levels of complexity. We examine the legal ramifications of forgeries of signatures as well as the ethical issues surrounding graphological analysis. The study identifies several possible directions for further investigation into questioned document examination, such as developments in machine learning and digital forensics for reliable forgery detection. Lastly, we talk about the ongoing fight against forgeries of signatures and stress the importance of a multifaceted strategy that includes public awareness campaigns, technological advancements, and strong legal frameworks.

Introduction-

In this signature artistry challenge, we studied about the forgery done in the signature and also how do we identify this forgery. For this challenge we took a model signature from an individual (Bipasha). There are mainly 2 types of signature—

1.      Genuine signature= A real signature is essentially a handwritten signature that is specific to a person and acts as a means of personal identification on a document. It's more than just writing your name; it's about creating a recognizable, consistent mark. Here's a thorough explanation:

Written by hand: A true signature is made by your hand, not by a printed copy, stamp, or other type of automated replication.

Originality: It displays your distinct writing voice and traits in a recognizable way. Your signature should have a core identity that it may change slightly over time.

Verification: When you sign a document, you are indicating that you agree with, acknowledge, or approve of its contents.

2.      Forged signature=In essence, a forged signature is a fake signature made by someone pretending to be someone else. Often carried out to commit fraud, it's a serious offence with legal ramifications. The breakdown of forged signatures is as follows:

Idea: To put it simply, it's the act of imitating a signature on a document without the signatory's knowledge or consent.

Legality: Almost all legal systems prohibit the forgery of signatures. It is regarded as a type of deception and fraud, with penalties including fines and possibly jail time. Although there may be extremely rare exceptions in certain circumstances, it is usually not accepted.
